What is the Courses Offered by the Narayana Yoga & Naturopathy Medical college?
The Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is equivalent to any medical degree course with medical registration.
Is this course is affiliated?
Yes, this course (BNYS) is Affiliated to Dr. N.T.R. Health University, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
What is the duration of the course ?
The duration of the course is of five and a half years (four and a half plus one year compulsory rotatory internship).
What is the eligibility for this course ?
  • The required qualification for applying to BNYS course is a pass in Plus Two, pre degree or any other equivalent course, with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Candidates must have 17-22 years of age. You can contact the Officer in - Charge of the admissions for the details.
  • Admission is open to both males and females.
  • What is the course structure and course curriculum ?

    The duration of BNYS is five and a half years (four and a half plus one year compulsory rotatory internship) with a combination of appropriate number of theory and practical. The course is divided into three parts of one and half years each, which sums up the course as I, II and III BNYS respectively. The subjects under each term are as follows.

  • How I can reach Nellore?
    Nellore is south east coastal city of South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated about 170 km north of Chennai City and 35km north of Gudur Railway Junction on NH 5, about 120km east of Tirupathi, about 360km to the east of Bangalore City. It is situated about 260km south of Vijayawada City on NH5. Nellore City is well connected by Buses from Karnataka and Tamilnadu, by Trains from places all over India like New Delhi, Jammu, Jaipur, Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Bhopal, Indore, Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Patna, Bhilaspur, Tata Nagar, Kolkata (Howrah), Bhubaneswar, Bangalore (Yaswanthpur), Chennai, Trichy, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Salem, Coimbatore, Kochi, Trivandrum to name some. Nearest domestic airport is at Tirupathi and International airport is at Chennai.
    Will I get hostel accommodation?
    Candidates admitted are accommodated in Hostels. You can contact the Hostel Wardens after filling in applications obtained from the office for the same.
    Should I need to pay the admission / tuition fee at the time of counselling / admission?
    Yes, the fee is to be paid on the day of counseling/admission.
    Is there any facility for payment of fees in installments?
    No, the entire first year fees is to be paid on the day of counseling/admission and subsequent fees on the dates to be notified.
    Is there any agent who can help me in getting admission to Narayana Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College?
    We advise the Parents and Candidates to approach on their own to the admission section of the respective institutions.
    Is there any management quota?
    Yes, 30% of the seats are given for management quota. You can contact the Officer in - Charge of the admissions for the details.
    Is there any good hostel facility with attached dinning?
    Yes, all hostels have mess facility.
    Will I get hostel allotment at the time of admission?
    Yes, all admitted candidates who seek hostel seat will be accommodated in the hostels. Admission in hostels is given on first come first serve basis.
    Is there any extra curricular activities promoted / facility available at Narayana Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College where I can improve upon my skills?
    There are plenty of facilities and promoted avenues for the overall personality development.
    Will I get total refund, if I withdraw my admission?
    Refund is done as per the refund rules.
    What are the documents required while attending the counselling?
    During counseling all the candidates are required to produce the original and two sets of photocopies of the all the documents and the photographs required.
    Can I take back the original documents?
    Request for the withdrawals of the original documents submitted can be made only for genuine reasons by executing a Bank Guarantee in the format prescribed by the Admission office or after completion of the course only.
    Who can apply under management quota?
    Foreign nationals or Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals who can not get through the respective state entrance tests can apply. They have to fulfill the required criteria set by the State Government, University and Councils respectively.

    Is the students having any sports?
    Yes, in the campus indoor and outdoor games are practiced.

    What type of food available in your hostel?
    Indian type of food is available in the hostel.

    Is it naturopathy and yoga is combined subject?
    Yes, both naturopathy and yoga is combined subject in BNYS course,

    What are the job opportunities?
    You can practice as a medical officer, yoga physician, teaching faculty, hospital administrator, spa manager, health club advisor, government jobs in PHC, corporate hospitals etc.
